I’m Jodie, a Rongoā Māori practitioner and Human Design guide, deeply rooted in the heartbeat of my ancestral whenua (land) in Whangara-mai-tawhiti, on the east coast of the North Island of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

My journey to alignment began when I fully embraced Rongoā Māori medicine, a practice that helped me ground deeply into my Human Design energy type, strategy, and authority. Through this sacred combination, I’ve transformed my life—from struggling in an off-the-grid home without power or running water to building a new whare and a thriving business aligned with my authentic self.

Following my sacral power, I invested in learning from exceptional Human Design teachers, business mentors, and rongoa practitioners. This inner alignment gave me the confidence to launch Jodie A Reid Ltd in 2021, where I now create and share digital products, online containers, and in-person retreats to guide others toward their unique blueprint for success.

A deep understanding of my alignment has further illuminated my path, showing me how planetary movements influence energy dynamics and life decisions. With celestial rhythms, I’ve discovered how to flow harmoniously with the universe’s cycles, turning challenges into opportunities for growth.

As an entrepreneurial mother myself, I know the challenges you face. My Story

Rooted in Legacy: The Walnut Tree

In the backyard of my home stands a walnut tree—tall, wise, and weathered. But it wasn’t just any tree. It was planted by my great-grandmother, a woman of quiet strength and deep intuition. She sowed it with her hands and her karakia, whispering into the earth as if she already knew that one day, this tree would speak to me.

Many years later, I found myself in the middle of my own storm.
A storm that didn’t just shake the earth—but shattered my sense of safety, my identity, my spirit.

I had escaped a violent relationship, only to fall into a deeper darkness—numbing the pain with substances, searching for anything to fill the silence left by trauma. I became homeless. Lost. Not just without a place to sleep, but without a sense of who I was or where I belonged.

When I returned home, it was with nothing but a broken heart and the will to heal.

And that’s when the tree spoke.

The tree told me her story of a real storm that had rolled through—lightning had struck the old walnut tree my great-grandmother once planted. It had split the trunk down the middle.
But it hadn’t fallen.

It stood. Silent, strong, rooted.

In that moment, I felt her. Her mauri, her strength. And I heard the message so clearly it led me to many tears:
“Keep growing. You are going to be alright”

That tree, fractured but still alive, became my turning point. It mirrored my journey—proof that you can be broken open and still bloom. That resilience can be inherited. That healing can be guided by the hands of those who came before us.

This story lives at the heart of all I do. Through my work—woven with Human Design, Rongoā Māori, and ancestral remembrance—I help others reconnect with their roots and realign with their truth.

Like the walnut tree, you are planted with purpose.
